We offer unique accommodation
Valsøya is a tiny destination in Heim municipality, just south of Trøndelag, with accommodation, activities for your whole family, and a restaurant.
We are also part of Nordmøre. With us you can choose between many different accommodation options. You can stay in 8 different apartments in Olaushuset, which is a restored house from the 18th century. We have Jordmorstua, which is a small cabin we have restored and moved to the sea. You can stay overnight in our cool pod houses, which are a sort of glamping. And of course we have space for motorhomes, caravans, tents and hammocks.

Here on Valsøya we can offer unique accommodation options in our restored, local buildings, but all our beds are most comfortable. Most of the accommodation options with us are in old houses that we have moved to the island, and then restored to beautiful unique units with character. One might say that we are reusing houses that other people do not want. It is a part of our most important values, that we try to take care of what we have, instead of buying new all the time.
Pets
Dogs and other pets are welcome to stay overnight in our units. They are also welcome on the verandas at the restaurant when you have dinner.
Jordmorstua (Midwife cottage) nr 9
The midwife cottage was an old stable cage that was moved all the way to Valsøya. The living room is right on the seafront with the veranda overlooking the sea. The apartment comes with 2 bedrooms with space for 4 persons if required.
NOTE: Both bedroooms and the bathromm are located up a steep ladder/stairs. Most suitable for those who manage walking ladders.
Pod House
Pod House is a form of 'glamping" or 'glamorous camping'. There is space for 2 people per pod, and the Pod House has its own power, deck and great view of the fjord. Towels and cleaning is included in the price.
For kitchen, toilets and showers one must use the sanitary building in the camping site.
Apartment nr 14
Appartement A is a holiday apartment with soul and has a great view over the fjord. The apartment is on the second floor of the main house and has two bedrooms.
Olaushuset
Unique partments
This is an old farmhouse which we have transported from a farm. This house has 8 units fully refurbished. Every unit is different, but all have bathroom with toilet and shower, free wifi and a tv. The apartments have a small kitchen fully equiped for a short stay.
Landhuset (Land house) nr 10
The holiday home includes four single rooms, two with bunk beds, living room, kitchen and bathroom. From the veranda there is a great view to the fjord. It is best suited for self-catering. However, on request, breakfast can be provided.
Camping site
Caravan, motorhome and tents
Valsøytunet is located between Trondheim and Kristiansund on the way to or from the Atlantic Road. We can offer nice views to both mountains and fjords. Our sites come with wooden flats for motor homes, children's playground, a small beach and barbecue area.
All camping is by booking.
Cancellation
Cancellation must be made the day before by sending an email to email (@) valsoya.no, or call +47 915 55 165. Then you avoid having to pay for rooms that are booked. Of you have booked via booking.com you will have to log in on their website and cancel yourself, because we cannot change bookings from booking.com.
